Getting data from the passed in model onCreateView to the class from the view

I have a list of items that are being filtered by items in an outside array. So basically I am creating a drop down that can filter the items in the list. The drop down is passed in as a view parameter and a getter is called from the view on the data back to the model.
My issue is that the item that is being passed in as the parameter in

This is the second part of a two-part story about reasons why I think I can’t hump and my efforts to do just that.

Reason #2: Humping will not help me get off the couch.

One of the easiest things for my friends and colleagues to overlook when they hear me talk about how I’m training for a half-Ironman triathlon is the fact that I will not be running any part of it.

Unlike other triathletes (or other endurance athletes for that matter), I can’t tell you what it’s like to be able to strap on a pair of running shoes, listen to the pounding of my own heart, and throw out my arms and legs in a million directions, all while charging up a steep incline or blowing through a wall. I haven’t had a marathon or even a half-marathon in over a year and I can tell you that it’s a lot different from all that jolting, dragging, bending, and stress than to be sitting in a pool, floating on my back, my legs and feet stuck to the bottom of the pool for over 45 minutes.

Not to mention that I need something that I can wear while doing the things I want to do. Even when I was in my prime fitness years, I always saw running as a lower priority (and training in general as something I did when time allowed). I don’t think I have ever run for exercise. I’ve always seen running as a time-consuming activity that I did to get to the next activity.

Furthermore, when it comes to trying to get off the couch, there is a lot more to it than just humping or doing some ab exercises. You know that box of issues I talked about last week? It’s not going away just because I’ve started humping.
