  1. I live in FL and I bought a discounted Crinum and Freesia bulbs (I'm assuming this is similar to the growth and planting process of lillies). We are in the beginning of June and it does get hot here. I have put them in dirt. Should I dig them up and wait until the fall?

  2. They are my favorite flower as well and the daylilies. Those pink tinged bulbs with slight pink sprout are Oriental lily bulbs. But no way to know what color till bloom of course. I have a big 15 inch planter on my deck that has Casa Blanca lilies in it. It has been growing and blooming in the pot for 10 years. I have a soil mixture of compost, peat moss, pearlite, and just a touch of sand. They grow great and will over winter without freezing in a large pot if protected and placed near the foundation of the home on your porch or side of the house that doesn't get hard cold wind. I had to go to pots vs the ground because of moles. They ate most of my lilies.

  3. I’m growing tiger lilies but the leaves just seem to be growing out it’s not really getting taller it’s been almost 30 days:/

  4. I just planted some flowers for my granny a couple weeks back all purple flowers, because that is her favorite color (and it was her B-Day too) I loved that I got to see some of them come to a bloom while she is around they will make memories like yours one day. I just bought a mixed pack of different colored Orential Lilies the other day can not wait to plant them. This video has helped me learn how to plant them. Thank you, so much for the flower knowledge 🏵🌷🌱🦋. Hope you have a great Spring 🐞.

  5. Pebbles! That’s where I went wrong. I just filled the whole container with soil. Live and learn.

Great video..the love for your Nan really comes thru. 👍

  6. Thanks for this video-post…I am a Lily enthusiast….I cried …when I lost my potted lilies in full bloom….’been “with me” for 3 years…a Mother’s Day gift to me by my daughter….. started as just one …re-potted the “extra bloomers” ….then THAT FIRE that gutted our apartment building.
lost everything…. including my precious lilies…I am starting all over again…. it will take time…but I don’t mind…..

  7. Lol….I got a few bulbs from the pound shop a couple of years back…chucked them in a couple of large pots with decent compost…and just left them to it…I get giant blooms every year without any interference from me just watering and a bit of chopped banana peel to feed the soil….One thing to watch out for is a Bright red beetle that lays eggs on the plant leaves …These produce a black slime and the leaves decay…Any signs of this and I manual remove and kill them. Its best to catch and kill the Red Beetles before they lay eggs….Otherwise they are a great plant and reproduce in clumps year after year!

  8. Super video again mate. I wish you were up here in Scotland. Also if you are free for a chat sometime would be great as I had a couple of questions.

As always. Thanks for the videos.

  9. Pretty sure this was one of the earliest videos of yours I watched. 🙂The lilies I planted are starting to send green shoots up. They made it through the frost we had last week. Hooray! Even the greenery is attractive. Which is good since last year the tree lilies didn’t bloom here until June.

  10. Really helpful advice. You answered my question about whether it was best to store Asiatic Lily bulbs indoors & wait until early spring to plant them or to plant them outside even in the wintertime. Thanks!

  11. I have a question for anyone who can help me. I peeled the petals or what would become bulbs and put them in a baggie with vermiculite and now have some small bulbs that look like small lilies. I am taking them out of their humid bag, six months later, and need to know do need to continue keeping them in a humid condition or just plant them in a planter and keep it inside, I live in colorado.

  12. Can do a video on growing perfume lilies from seeds? Or atleast give some details on it, because i cant seems to grow them from seeds
