I bought the icolor 550 a couple of weeks ago after accidentally coming across it existence. I will receive it tomorrow. I am so happy I just watched this video to confirm the decision I made on buying it for my business! Thank you! I look forward to your future vids on using the printer itself.

so what do you think you would be better so move to after hitting that limitation wall of htv? Moving to sublimation like with the sawgrass using the easysubli hd inks with forever flex paper or jump to white toner printing? I still consider myself a novice in the t-shirt design but I do have a nice growing base. its just like you said screen printing and screen printed transfers a re just to costly for only a few designs especially since you really have to know that design will sell like hot cakes or charge a higher price to someone wanting multiples just to make a realistic profit. right now I have the means to go either route I'm just still uncertain which would be better for giving me more freedom to create the expanding my potential customer base. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Not even close. A premium DTG print is so much better in every way if you value a quality t shirt. I tried laser transfers, they’re junk.

I know about those long time ago but obviously this is a lot of work but I still want to try doing it eventually I want to make my own printer that doesprofessional t-shirts. I had a heat press while it does work very well it was just a lot of work you have a heat press GIF paper you have ink you have messed up you have a lot of time and money into it.but I still want to learn about it because I still make CD labels and DVD labels and covers I love doing that it's fun. So I love doing stuff with printers keep up the good work

I have had mixed results with laser transfers. I use an Oki white toner printer. I agree… the A-to-B transfer process is the first sign of trouble.

I have an A3 white tonner laser printer That I’m using for 2 years. The brand of printer, Rip, tonner doesn’t change anything to your print quality IMO. It’s all about the quality of the transfer paper you’re using. It definitely works well on white t-shirts but the prints on dark garment are absolute crap and won’t resist washing. Also don’t forget to mention: it takes a few seconds for the printer to print but for good quality prints you need to press 2 times 25-30 seconds depending on your paper.
I've seen these type of printers that print in a rectangular area. I actually have a shirt where the front half has full graphic and is 100% cotton so not sublimation. Seems like it was half sewn printed on then finished. I'm like how they do this??

@ $7 a pop for a quality print it definitely take you out of the market segment for affordable tees. Frugal consumers are people too and there's tens of millions of them..
So with proper maintenance it's good getting A DTG printer. One of the reasons why it Failed is because your employees kept on messing up the maintenance procedures thus costing you money and thus hopefully you firing the employee after consistently breaking Your DTG printer
I've seen some of your other videos. Am assuming that you havent tried the sawgrass sg800 I dnt have one . Been looking in to one. Am thinking it would be a great printer to go with. At a price of 1500 maybe you know more being in the print business. Am look to get one just to do my own shirts.

I enjoyed your video. I have been doing commercial embroidery for years, and have also seen the same sales problems in the embroidery industry. Lots of false promises and half truths. Especially about the learning curve for different processes, and actual profit margins.

You doing a review, and vouching for a product that you don't never show. How much you getting paid for your time. Seeing how you had 6 ads in a 17 min video I guess not enough. 1st video I ever watch from you, but it will also be my last. Just wasted 17 minutes of my life I can't get back.
I have the Digital Heat FX 11×17 white toner printer. It's pretty dope I've done a lot of cool things however, the damn paper is expensive almost $4 and, yes, you don't wanna F*up anything because thats throwing $4 away each time. The only warning I have is to research and be weary of those contracts. The leasing company I got are rip-offs their contract is heavy and one sided. I specifically had conversation with them that I would pay off the printer after 4 months and then it turns out they said no, you can't pay it off. if you want to you have to pay the full term of the lease, which would double the price of the printer. I wouldn't have signed the contract if this was so and I made a big deal about this before I signed. Now they are trying to bait and switch. So you have to work really hard to be profitable after 4$ for the A&B paper and the printer monthly cost + the insurance. My monthly payment is $740 a month, how did 596$ a month end up being that much?
The print quality of laser printers are still garbage. after 20 years it still is not even near decent quality of other techniques. I would never provide them to a client. Give a customer that after them receiving a good quality print and you lose a customer.
