A very easy project that will save you so much time melting large batches of candle wax or soap. Works with soy 464, paraffin, anything that melts. Thank you …

  1. I’ve seen another method where they use a threader to cut threads in the opening before twisting in the nozzle/valve. Is one way better than the other?

  2. Thanks so much for the wealth of information that you share with us! It’s extremely helpful to us newbies. What is the item number for the valve that you used to make this? Or, what is the exact name for this valve as I’m having a hard time finding that one piece? Also, what’s the second drill bit that you used? I told you that I was a newbie. Lol

  3. Hey there thanks for this!! You are the bomb.com
My hubby just made mine 🤗.
And what I found to work for the clogged spout is leaving the spout open to drip. While the wax is melting when it’s at 180 I pour the drips back in the pot and open the spout to pour my pound or whatever I need.
It was a pain the first couple days that it was clogged and I thought he didn’t make it right 🥴. He got tired of me giving Jeff praises and referencing your channel that he had to show me how to make lemonade lol

Please I need you to schedule time to do a problem solving tips and tricks video on using the melt pot please and thanks. I love love standley university 😋

  4. Jeff – great video, thanks for the tips. I made the melter, but the valve wasn't working well so need to get something better. What type of valve are you using here? All the ones I have seen have a max temp of 180, are these safe for wax use? Thank you again!

  5. Does it harm the wax in any way to leave it in the melter for a long time (hours) without it doing anything to the wax to not make it bind well with fragrance oils? Hope this makes sense. Also can the wax be left in the pot and reheated or do I need to start with a fresh batch at another time?

  6. Thanks for the tutorial. I did this over the weekend and it works perfectly. I already had the fryer that was in my cupboard not being used. So I spent roughly $15 and made a nice and easy wax melter. I greatly appreciate the videos as a new candle maker, they are helping me learn to do's and don't.

  7. Thank you Stanley for such great video. I am really a novice in handy stuff so just have a very basic question. Why are we using a 3/4 inch drill bit for a half inch ball valve? Thank you.

  8. Hi Jeff, I love watching your videos, i love making candles, I really wanted to get a small business going but was struggling with the burn of the wicks, but I won’t give up trying. I’m from the uk and was wonder how much delivery would be for one of your presto pots please.

  9. The lowest temp is 200. If you are dealing with wax that doesn’t need to go past 185 do you just monitor to that point then set your control to warm?

  10. Hi Stanley do you have any tutorials on using the melter? Do you add oil in pot and pour direct into candle jar? Also how do you keep valve from getting clogged with wax? Thanks!!!!!!

  11. Hi Stanley, such an amazing video! My husband actually made one for me but after using a few times… The wax turns to a very peachy colour with a waxy smell. I wonder is this because I've overcooked them from directed heat? Rather than double boiler? 😢 Do you have any experience with over cooked wax? (I measured the temperature which is around 110 C)That particular batch has less scent through performance. So I guess I need to be very careful with that…😔

  12. Omg! I JUST bought that exact pot this weekend for the same purpose! I cannot thank you enough for this great tutorial , even I can do this, easy peasy! It is a great pot too, I made a very small test batch of soy blend container candles and used the pot of course as my melter. Then I poured the wax into my pouring pots and added my color and f.o. It was nice not having to deal with the double boiler. I will be making larger batches, so I will definitely be using your instructions. Thank you, thank you! Beats the hell out of paying over $100 on Etsy for the exact same thing. 👍🏻😉
