  1. Hi doctor help me out from this fear
I wash the outside of a milk carton (that has milk in it) with soap and water. After washing only I realized if soap mix with milk bcoz washing.
Still I didn't open milk cartons cap sealed only. But I fear to use milk whether soap is mix or not

  2. This is not a "gotcha" Sincere problem that for me makes wiping down groceries painstaking. Start by washing hands. Hold product in left hand. Wipe down another area of product with right hand. Place left hand on area just cleaned so that I can wipe down the area where me left hand was blocking previously. But my left hand was just holding a potentially contaminated item. So now haven't I potentially contaminated the area I just wiped down?

  3. I always see the same advice about bringing potentially covid covered groceries into the house and setting up “dirty” and “clean” areas. This seems ridiculous, since you’re trying to KEEP IT OUT OF THE HOUSE, right?? Plus, you’re now touching doorknobs, etc, etc.
I think this is a much simpler and safer technique: I use either a bleach and water or a 91% alcohol spray on items I take out of the shopping bags OUTSIDE. (The sprays get into every little area more easily than wipes, and you don’t blow through a ton of wipes.) Then I clean my hands with the alcohol spray when I’m finished. I wait 5 minutes, and then bring the now disinfected items inside in a dedicated clean box for the purpose, and let them dry completely on a big towel. I unbox the things I can, and recycle the now clean cardboard. (Much easier than trying to do the contortions necessary to remove things from un-disinfected boxes.) I go back outside and spray down my reusable grocery bags: the handles, the inside and the outside, and leave them outside to dry overnight. They’re ready to go back in the car in the morning.
I don’t do any produce I can’t spray down and rinse off or wash with soap and water, (since I don’t think “just rinse with water” is safe), and I use frozen for anything I don’t feel comfortable buying fresh right now, since I can easily disinfect those packages.
When I’m finished putting the now dry groceries away, I wash my hands again, just in case.
    Done and done.

  4. You very quickly glossed over the most important point.
    Fresh produce.
What if you don’t want your food to taste like vinegar or soap?
Should a person even buy fresh produce ?
Anyone can sanitize a cardboard box. How bout lettuce? Strawberries? … things you can’t peel?

  5. I've been wiping down the groceries from the cart before putting them in my own bags in the truck. Seems easier that way. 🙂

  6. Thanks, Doc for the advice, especially on the produce. By the way, how should I handle food delivery from my local eateries? Should I empty the food from their container to my own plate? Thank you and stay safe and healthy.
