  1. Hi Dr. B.
I agree with where you are coming from. Smoking bad, edibles, topicals, good. They know that Marijuana smoke contains a large number of carcinogens in addition to the cannabinoids, whereas oral cannabinoids bypass the carcinogens. Sativex has been around for a long time – pharmaceutical grade 1:1 THC: CBD oil in a spray that you use inside your cheek or under the tungue. Yes it works with pain and spasticity and it comes through a standard pharmacy rather than a dispensary. You can find similar oils in dispensaries and they are cheaper. The dispensary products come with a dropper rather than a metered dose of the Sativex spray. I know of people who have used it for MS and for cancer pain with success. I hope this new service is of benefit to your patients.

  2. Eating a canibis cookie before sleep enabled me to sleep without getting up to pee frequently. It was an amazing difference. Smoking cannibis prior to sleeping didn't make any difference, only eating cannibis made a difference reducing urinary frequency. It was like magic.

  3. Sooooo, why not cut out the middle man, being you, and get a medical marijuana card and go to a dispensary, and buy it? That's what I did. I live in Cali. where it is legal, also. 🙂

  4. I have recently received my medical marijuana card it really dose help so much I wish my neurologist was like you 💯💯👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

  5. That is exciting news for your patients! 😊

Here in Canada we have to go to a special clinic that does a Teleconference visit with registered Doctor located else where that have been educated in this area as well. It is great that you can provide this with your practice. It would be awesome if we could do the same here. However, I can’t see it happening at this time as we are in a big shortage of doctors here. Many families don’t even have a family doctor and to get in to see a specialist of any kind we have long waiting lists unless it’s an emergency case from a hospital visit.

  6. I encourage marijuana patients to try the topicals if they can. Half cbd half thc topical ointment has been amazing!
Thank you dr boster for helping your patients. My quality of life has been so much better since getting my card.

  7. Thank You for considering this. I eat candies to help with spasticity on my left side and it helps my entire body relax a little. I have to use a 1:1 mixture.

  8. Question- do you have any advice for excercise or just daily habits to help keep good lung function? Can you address the way MS affects our lungs?

  9. I 100% support Medical Cannabis! I take CBD oil and it’s changed my quality of life for the better! I’ve visited states where it’s legalized and I’ve tried edibles while there with great results in helping my MS! Bravo Dr. Boster!! 👏🏼👏🏼 Glad you listened to your patients and jumped on board! Thanks for thinking outside the box! ❤️

  10. Hi Dr. Boster. I come to you from New Albany, IN. Can I get a approved for this by you and consume it in my State/travel with it?

  11. Curious if this would be better for spasms and spastacity than other options. Currently I take Gralise which I find somewhat effective but my right thigh often feels heavy and kind of "plasticky"…like a hard putty. It just doesn't feel right but when I get a message or PT they think it feels fine externally. I should push this a bit to see if something else will make me feel better. I'm feeling better now 4 months into my first year of Ocrevus and walking without a stick the first time in 6 months, etc.

  12. Great vlog! There are many doctors losing patients because they do not want go through the process. The most important thing you said is "You trust your patient". Thank you for saying that,I don't think anyone of us would want this if we could rewind or wish it on anyone. Excellent subject Dr.B,your bedside manner alone will have your Facility bustling with patients!

  13. Dr. Boster. I was skeptical also, until I went to California. I went to a dispensary. It was the first time since my diagnoses in August 2019 that I haven’t had horrible pain. I didn’t feel “high.” But I felt relieved, not only physically but mentally as I wasn’t in pain, for the first time in MONTHS! That was the only time I’ve ever done it. I’m in ohio, doctor at Riverside (totally wanted to meet you but you left before I had the chance.) I’m willing to switch to you!

  14. Here in Belgium I have the right to take the spray Sativex. But because the taste is very bad and you have to leave 20 min. time between 2 sprays (which leads to an hour of time if you need 3 sprays) I don't use it anymore. Instead, I use 5% CBD oil, 4 times a day 3 drops under the tongue. The taste is also not very good but better than sativex. And it's easier to use and doesn't take much time. It helps a lot against my spasticity, but does not help against my nerve pain.

  15. I am on the fence about it but would be willing at this point to give it a try and am hoping to see you soon working on getting an appointment miss my doc my care hasn't been the same

  16. Hallo Aaron, I am living in Germany, as you know. Medical marijuana is legal for persons with chonic pain, MS, spinal cord injuries and many other chronic illnesses.
The process to be able to purchas (the very expensive) marijuana products for smoking, vaping and eating is very complicated.
First you talk to your MS doctor about your pain (or other issues that make you need medical marijuana) and your doctor has to write a recommendation for medical marijuana. Then you get this recommendation, find a doctor who is able to "prescribe" medical marijuana and talk to this doctor all the story over and over. For this doctor has never seen you before it is very hard and nerve wrecking. lasts hours and hours, medical exams and tests before you may get the "card" for purchasing medical marijuana i a pharmacy. Pharmacie are the only places you can purchase the products.
Me personally, I would not want to "strip" in front of a stranger and beg for a medication that would be so helpful for me. I know the drug called Sativex which contains cannabis . Why do I get Sativex on a prescription (no costs for me) and no medical mrijuana?
Even the side effects show that medical cannabis has no side effects. other drugs (painkillers) do! Oh yes they do!
Thanks for being a recommending doctor in your state! Every patient of you can be the luckiest person in the world!
Wishing you a good week! best regards from Germany, Britta
( I know sometimes it is hard for me to find the right words, but please remember I am not a native speaker! If you find some mistakes, pleaase be kind…)

  17. Diagnosed with PPMS 7 months ago, No Government help. Started smoking dope for the first time in 30 years. Using it sparingly, I have found that it keeps me calm and spasticity has been reduced.

  18. My only problem with pot is I keep forgetting to use it! It helps drastically when the front of my legs are spastic, within minutes.
