  1. Question about seed saving for peas: Do they have to be separated by a distance in order to save the seeds? I have Oregon Sugar Pod and Sugar Ann growing up together and I am hesitant to save seeds in case they cross-bred and the seeds won't grow true. What do you think?

  2. I am a beginner and have been reusing containers that my grocery store veg come in, such as mushrooms, berries, etc. I line them with newspaper and the seedlings come out so easy protect ing the roots from getting cut on the plastic holes on the bottom.

  3. I planted 10 peas and they all germinated. Then I noticed some were falling over and on closer inspection I thought the stem had rotted. I found out via an allotment group that the stems have been eaten by mice. So from 10 germinated peas I’ve now only got 6 plants, most annoyed,!! Is there anything I can do to keep the mice away?

  4. You’re inspirational for all of us, everything seems to match your results : method, intonations , gestures and technical/biological aspect. Following your hands at work too. Pedagogical mindfulness, thanks again from sunny Italy. Great value in your channel, as the one that surrounds you in your garden. Congratulations Charles !

  5. Hi Charles I'm curious about your using rope to hold up the peas. Do you not have problems with birds.I would have thought they would perch on the ropes and walk along pecking away tops of plants . I thought you had to protect with netting all around like a cage. Please let me know your thoughts, it would save me time and brainpower trying to be a netting engineer if I'm wrong. Love your channel. Thanks K

  6. Thank you Charles for all your videos. Your approach to gardening is so practical, yet you make an art of it. Are there any plants that would not use your home-saved seeds? I have noticed that my squash volunteers have a very unique appearance, for example.

  7. Is it best running rows east to west or north, south. Love your videos and having so much success applying your methods, just adjusting for Australian conditions. Thank you so much.

  8. I had two covered trays of peas just coming through in the greenhouse that were looking good until this morning. Now they are like dry, brown paper 🙁 I suspect they were scorched as it was such a hot, sunny day yesterday. Does that happen to peas or could it be some other problem? I've never grown them before so I only sowed half the packet in case I messed up. I'll sow more tomorrow. Thanks for the great video as always.

  9. The non sugary peas could be good for some people who need lower sugar vegetables like diabetics and people trying to eat a Keto or low sugar low carb diet.

  10. I love how beautiful the peas are, they have beautiful little blooms. Thank you again for sharing your videos. My 16 year old is interested in gardening and farming, he is going to watch some of your videos to learn how to plant things.

  11. Hi Charles I have tried this system of yours of growing peas on the window sill then moving on to the green house then into the bed covered by fleece I covered them because a few night of frost were predicted. I now have lots of lovely pea plants shooting upwards. Thanks for such a fantastic idea
