You can regulate but not full ban the flavors. I’m watching this one closely. If you say ban vaping you will lose a lot of votes. Yang is obviously unstudied on this. I do have faith that once he looks at the data he will not repeat these reactionary thoughts and approach the subject with a more opened mind. The vaping innovation is huge in terms of harm mitigation of nicotine addiction and cigarettes smokers.
(Additionally, The fact is alcohol comes in sugary fruit flavors and this is not because they want to market to minors…same with vape products.)

Its not about the flavor its about the 50MG/ML nicotine liquid in that product. My bottle of vape juice is 60ML and 3mg/ml so it has 180MG of nicotine. Salt nicotine (what is in the majority of PRE-FILLED cartridge vape systems) can be 30ML but have 50mg/ml meaning 1,500mg of nicotine in HALF THE AMOUNT OF LIQUID. This is our problem NOT THE FLAVORS, vast majority of ADULTS use FLAVORS OTHER THAN TOBACCO. Cigarettes kill 480,000 people in the US alone YEARLY. i've talked directly to numerous ADULT EX SMOKERS turned vapers and they SAID they would go back to cigarettes without the flavors. BANNING THE FLAVORS WILL NOT SAVE THE KIDS, BUT IT WILL KILL THEIR PARENTS! Also, the CDC has confirmed every "vape" related DEATH is directly LINKED to BLACK MARKET THC CARTRIDGES meaning its not the LEGAL PRODUCT killing anyone. It is BOOTLEG, HOMEMADE, FAKE marijuana cartridges killing people. Just last week two younger guys OVERDOSED on HEROIN after they bought what they were told was a LIQUID MARIJUANA VAPE CARTRIDGE. banning flavors will not have ANY AFFECT ON THE BLACK MARKET and may even create another BLACK MARKET for FLAVORED E-LIQUID. We need industry EXPERTS in this conversation before they decide to RUIN this PUBLIC HEALTH OPPORTUNITY to DECIMATE smoking rates.

First thing, we need to let people know the strange illnesses linked to vaping originated from black market THC vapes. There is no evidence regular vapes will hurt you. Definitely there could be some long term effects but this doesn't excuse the fact that the media has been completely irresponsible in their coverage of this issue. Most times showing photos of JUULs or other regular vapes. They've created a social health scare over black market THC vapes that are completely separate from the ones americans use every day.
