  1. I have burdock on the property and then I have what I think could be this plant. Most of my books for identifying herbs say that it is Sorrel. Same thing or different?

  2. We’ve been using a spit poultice of yellow dock leaves on FIRE ANT bites the last few years. It works amazingly well to cool down the hot sting in seconds.

  3. I have a patch of about 10 in flower. I’ve been researching the last couple of weeks on their medicine. You’re video popped up in my notifications… so informative and learned more in your 15 minutes than my 2 weeks listening to others! Thanks you!!!

  4. I always enjoy your videos because they are packed with so much useful information on the herbs themselves. But I VERY much appreciate this one because you take time to show us how to make it into a useable medicine. Many don’t understand how to make into something that can be used and I have encountered many who are intimidated by the process. Thank You Herbal Jedi!!!

  5. Hi from Portugal, here in the north of the country we have a lot of Rumex obtusifolius that I believe, has the same properties. The only problem is realy the taste :-). Sooooo bitter!

  6. Thank you for this video! I may forget to like everyone, but I love all of your videos. I think your character is just so relaxing and no not showy as mentioned. Keep them coming!
What clippers are you using in your video? I need those.

  7. Would it be better to freeze dry the root before putting it in a tincture? I have read where freeze drying retains the properties of plants at a much higher rate than regular sun drying or dehydrating.

  8. Hi, Herbal Jedi. Thank you for this great video! I have a question about this plant, amd I cannot find answers online. I hope you can help. I like to wildcraft herbs and juice them – fresh – with my masticating juicer. Basically, I incorporate them into my family's daily green juice. Probably as often as not. I tend to use sow thistle (so underrated), dandelion, milk thistle, cleavers, and mullein. Anyway, I see yellow dock all the time in the greenbelt near our house, and I'm so curious about whether I could juice the root fresh. I sometimes juice burdock root, and it's wonderful. I've seen some warnings about raw consumption of yellow dock root, but along the lines of "no one knows, so don't risk it…" Do you think it would be ok? Or am I better advised to just make a tincture? Thank you for any info.

  9. Stay out of my brain Yarrow. I went hunting for curly dock yesterday. I saw a bunch of second year curly dock growing up and down the road. It seems to be a cleaver and curly dock year here in Pittsboro, NC. One comment I took note of last week was that people with covid are showing up with increased levels of free iron in the blood and skin discoloration appearances and I immediately thought of yellow dock. Would it be ok to use this with cleavers?

  10. A close up of the leaves would have been nice but interesting info none the less. Slippery Elm is great for all that you mentioned too!

  11. I was actually look for yellow dock a few months ago, and had no clue it grew in my yard! I ended up making a deco room with burdock instead, because I had it on hand. It was for a mom that was anemic after a post partum hemorrhage and blood transfusion. She reacted badly to the pharmaceutical iron supplements. The dedication worked and in a month she was feeling herself and bloodwork showed she was no longer anemic!

  12. So. Do the leaves look a bit like dandelion but more "wavy" & a little fuzzy like? I couldn't get a good enough look. My fone doesn't have good resolution and there's no computer

  13. i keep looking at them here in Vernon, ive felt very attracted to them, now i know why, the things you say its good for i could use, I love you vids!!!!!

  14. I work in an little herb shop. I send customers to your you tube often. This one will be another one I will pass on. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  15. I had actually dug up some yellow dock yesterday and had soaked the roots. I planned on cutting them up and creating a tincture today with it. When I seen this video in my notifications I was pleasantly surprised!

  16. Good timing , I just pulled a big bunch up,
    from my Nanaimo back yard.
Time to dry some of it out, I think!
What do you think, of glycerin for tinctures?
    Keep smiling!
