  1. Peace, thank you!
From what I understand, Purgatory is the journey of the soul at the Judgment Seat of Christ, not really a 'place' in current Catholic Teaching. In addition, I thought learned from EWTN, that it was never a defined Doctrine or Dogma as a 'place.'

I realize that Near Death Experiences are private revelations, and many are unreliable, especially when testing the spirits someone revived justifies grave moral evils. I do like Fr. Spitzer's (Credible Catholic, Magis Center, Fr. Spitzer's Universe) talks on Near Death Experiences. For example, verified by two or three reliable witnesses some Near Death Experience survivors know of conversations in another room or even miles away. Some know of objects in place the very same way. Many experience a 'life review' from GOD's point of view on how they were perceived by others according to their actions. What is the main point, here? The preponderance of the evidence in Near Death Experiences is a journey with varying degrees of experiences outside of time, where even so, some experienced a long 'time,' and varying degrees of necessary experience of self knowledge and growing in Grace for a deeper change of heart and mind. Isn't there some merit to indicate that whatever the journey of purgatory is, absent from the body and present with the Lord as Paul the Apostle put it, by these Near Death Experiences?

  2. I stopped listening at 11:27 when Pope Francis was cited as a reliable teacher of Catholic doctrine. While I respect his office as chief pastor and accept the infallibility of ex cathedra statements, I have no respect for Francis as a person. He changed the Catechism to say "The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person". If that were true, the death penalty would be wrong in every circumstance. But God in the bible commanded it for certain crimes and the Church has always (until Francis) taught that it was sometimes permissible. Moreover when Francis's obvious error was pointed out he refused to correct it. He parades his "humility" wherever he goes, but his arrogance (or stupidity? or hidden agenda?) prevent him correcting this obvious mistake. He responds to the dubia put by cardinal Burke et al with regal silence. He weaponizes ambiguity rather than dispelling it. He is a disgrace to his office. He brings it into disrepute. Shame on Fr Pacwa for putting tribal loyalty to a fellow Jesuit above his duty to Christ
