I strongly doubt that Marijuana use is "soring" more likely all the people who use to smoke covertly are now more open about their use. Oh sure use is increasing as more and more (older) people are discovering how much the government has been lying about marijuana but MOST "increased" use is just people coming out of the marijuana closet. Because of the illegit nature of cannabis use I do not think the government even has an idea of who does and does not use cannabis, I know ALOT of middle class professionals who smoked clandestinely and always did.
