keeppedaling #dobikes #foxshox Changing the travel of a 2018 or 2019 Fox 36 mountain bike fork is surprisingly easy, though it does require purchasing a new …
Thanks for this tutorial, Jeff. Bought a used Fox 36 which came reduced to 140mm and I am looking to bump it up to 150mm.
Can you increase the fox 36,,100 mm 26er,, I would like to increase that fork to 120mm. Currently I'm running a RockShox DJ 26er. It's the 140 mm version I want to reduce it to 120 should I just add spacers would that bring down the ride height
Hi Jeff how are you? How did you find the 150 travel on the Ripmo? I have a Ripmo V1 and Im thinking of putting a 150 36 Fox on it to give it a more 'trail' character.
To see what is involved in taking a fox 34 from 130 to 140 for a couple bikes I am looking at.
Need to change a fox 36 from 170mm to 160mm!
Best advice on how to reduce travel on a performance fox 36 front shox from 170 to 150… just to test and compare on some local trails.
Hey Jeff…great content, love watching you and Nate Hills vids. Question, I'm buying a SB130 LR which has the fox Factory 36 wiht160mm travel….I can change that to a 150mm correct ?
Hello guys does anyone know if you can reduce the travel on a 36 talas 120_160 so the maximum travel would be 150mm is it the same thing? Any info would be appreciated
I am working on shortening the travel on my 36 from 160 to 150-140 because I want to put the beast on my next trail bike.
Hey Jeff! Quick question. What are your thoughts of changing my Fox 36 factory’s travel to 170mm on my Ripmo?
Funny, my 10mm sockets always disappear before they can wear out.
Hi Jeff, I’m keen to know what the Ripmo was like with a 150? Any benefits on the flatter trails? I have a ripmo and was thinking of trying 150mm for the tamer trail riding close to my home.
I didn’t see you make any length adjustments?? Good service video though.
Hi, do you advise changing any of your settings after adjusting the fork travel? (Psi, tokens, compression or rebound damping) Or leave them the same? I'm going 160mm to 170mm. Thanks for the tips.
My bike (2019 Vitus Escarpe VRX 29) came with a Fox 36 Factory G2 150mm. My last bike (2016Yeti Sb5.5c) had the same fork buy 160mm and I miss than extra travel. Plus I believe it'll improve the Escarpe geometry so I will definitely upgrade this winter when I typically service the fork. Thanks for showing how easy this can be! PS. My kids love your channel!
I'm getting a 160mm 36, MIGHT want to drop it to 150 if it doesn't climb right as I'm mostly around boring flat trails, though I want it for the primo stuff 2 hrs away.
What would your thoughts be on swapping out a fox 34 140mm with a fox 36 140mm on my Trek Fuel? Do you think it would be a noticeable difference for aggressive trail riding?
Fox 34 fit4 2016 150mm to 160mm 👍

Easy job to do this yourself. But…… Don't start it on Sunday night and follow on on Monday morning, and forget to let the air out…. That's what happened to me, and when I removed the snap ring the airshaft shot into my face from 6 inches away… Like they fired a gun. I was very, very lucky it only hit my nose bone and not my eye……..
I only have one suggestion Jeff……safety glasses 🙂 I don't want to see you going down the hill with an eye patch buddy! Thanks for the video! Cheers!
Jeff you went from a 150 to a 160, but can you go to a 140mm from the 160? Currently have 160 with PUSH ACS-3 coil insert so not sure how things will turnout…
I've got a Fox 40 Float:)
