Yes, the state can take your guns if you use weed.
Because clearly some people still don’t get the message, I’m saying it louder, and with evidence. You’re being entrapped. Find out how, here. Show notes and …
in theory if weed is legalized federally they should remove it from the checklist you have to fill when buying a gun
There isn't any feds here in Chicago or Illinois. And you don't get tracked by your ID I know this for a fact 🤦🏿♂️.
You read the laws. How helpful! Thanks!
If Northam takes away the 2nd amendment rights from everyone in Virginia, then whether or not Virginians use weed will become a moot issue when it comes to gun ownership. And those state governments proclaim, "We'll give you pot for your guns. Pot for guns. Pot for guns. Pot for guns".
"A man may have possession of a thing in the legal sense without being the owner; and a man may be the owner of a thing without having possession." Part of the firearms issue is that ownership remains with the state and tranferee's have mere right of possession. The true owner then has legal avenues to reaquire possession for breach of the terms of transfer. Marijuana use would be a breach of the terms listed on the ATF form 4473. The state can therefore reaquire their property. Firearms ownership is an oxymoron. The question remains; What if I build my own firearm? (ie 80% lower receiver). "A person in the power of another could not possess on his own account." Are we as U.S. citizens under the power of another? Can we therefore own anything? (ie civil asset forfeiture). There is no freedom in this system.
