Was a stoner for 4 years. Totally agree with Bloomberg (on pretty much this only). Weed is fine for most people, but it genuinely does ruin lives but in a less obvious way for younger people who's brains are still developing. They fall into the trap of smoking until they're 26 and typically don't do nearly as well as they could academically or in the world of work as it promotes and fuels an extremely sedentary lifestyle. I know there are exceptions, but for the majority of kids I think it's without a doubt a bad influence

I will admit that weed should be limited to medical reasons but this is awesome.
Look. I live in Washington where cannabis is legal. The companies here have genetically modified weed so much that the THC concentration is off the charts. Why? So they can get more people hooked. The state has the opportunity to use the taxes off weed to pursue research on weed and the potential benefits in different medical areas. Instead, they only spent 1.1 million dollars on research out of 367.4 million. The government doesn't care about your health. The companies only care about your wallet so they will do what they can to get you hooked. As an Addictions and Mental Health counselor, I am seeing more and more young people having problems with cannabis. This is not 1970's cannabis. This does change brains, especially for people under the age of 25. Best way to win Russian roulette is not to play.
Convicts can't vote So they get most Latinos and blacks in jail for whatever reason mostly small bags of weed

Can't believe he brought children into his speech. Of course they shouldn't be allowed to buy and use until at least 18 or 21 like other substances, tabbaco or alcohol. Medical Marijuana for children is a different story because they are dealing with life threating health conditions such as cancer. If Marijuana helps with negative side effects of treatments and promotes hunger then why should it not be allowed?
