  1. Cult. The victims will be emotionally harmed individuals with baggage. Anyone else recognise the maniacal laughter in the cult victims? They seem to laugh madly at anything their guru's say which has poor, pathetic "humour." Very sad, very dangerous.

  2. In my humble opinion Osho was not a real spiritual master. He was an interesting guy, but real spiritual masters all teach renunciation of desires, including limiting food through fasting, limiting sleep by keeping vigil through the night, and limiting sex to none or as little as possible. Real spiritual masters teach mentally abstaining from indulging in passionate thoughts and rather concentrating one's attention on thoughts of the Divine, giving up attachment to possessions, willingly accepting suffering and/or humiliation to help others, etc. Osho taught indulgence in sex and money in the mistaken theory that conscious indulgence would lead to satiation and a natural renunciation. But that's like saying indulgence in heroin will lead to some type of natural renunciation; it is simply not the case. Indulgence only leads to further entrenchment in the psychological/chemical addiction to food, sleep, sex, etc (sex in particular, as far as Osho's methods go). Osho's message was all about "feeling good" and not about truth, insight, realization, etc. "Feeling good" is the be-all-end-all of a drug addict, not a spiritual master. Having said that, I am thankful to Osho for introducing me to Gurdjieff, Meher Baba, and Ramana, among many others whom I consider authentic spiritual masters or seekers.

  3. Bhagwan was a total scumbag, not an englightened being in any way whatsoever. If he was, he wouldn't have allowed people to worship and form a community around him. He was just able to rise so fast because he was a great talker. A great, but totally lying and manipulative talker.

  4. Dose this man has an HOA in his neighborhood, and if so can you imagine what their saying. If their saying nothing it’s because they either attend also or all the members are mostly his neighbors or it’s both!
At least he dose serve breakfast, sort of. What about orgies because he seemed to be getting away with a lot as it was, yelling in the basement from 20 or so ppl and frolicking in the yard, lotta commotion you would think to not draw some attention from less than enthusiastic neighbors. Just wondering.

  5. how can people be so extremely stupid to follow psychopaths like Bhagwan and this crazy woman Sheela, who continues to be unconcerned with responsibility and truth… ignorance and political correctness are extremely dangerous, besides of stupid! the only real experience is the path of the Buddha

  6. #Vice top notch documentary as always. I like what the sanyasen says in the end about communal living in the contemporary times. I love ashrams but I can only do them for brief periods of time!!! Enouh to reconnect with the guru before the asram politics set in !!!!
