A massive explosion rocked a northwest Houston neighborhood. Two people were killed as the blast was felt all across the region Friday morning. It happened …
My heart goes out to the families of the men that died and the many families with severely damaged homes. Sadly, in Houston Industrial accidents are fairly common. I lived a few blocks away from the ammonia truck explosion in Houston in 1976. I heard the "BOOM" and asked my dogs "I wonder what blew up today?". 178 people were injured as the cloud enveloped their cars (78 were hospitalized). Ammonia scars the lungs and that damage is permanent. I was lucky, the cloud blew away from my home, but police urged me to leave. Living near freeways for nearly thirty years, Houston's ozone and other pollutant levels have left me, a lifelong non-smoker, with badly damaged lungs. I still love the city, but it gave me the dubious gift of emphysema. I pity the rush hour runners on the jogging path in Memorial Park, all those cars at a stand-still spewing noxious fumes as they run, breathing hard, trying to be healthy…
This is regrettable for civilian people to face death and destruction but let’s not forget what the American wars doing to innocent civilians in Iraq,Syria,Afghanistan and other poor foreign civilians.
The fact that I lived very close from there…is terrifing.Atleast im thankful my family is alright but also r.i.p for the people who died on the explosions….

This is all very interesting, because last night, I had two very sobering dreams that seemed to be warnings to stay away from Houston!
There is now way of knowing at this point, but given that as of couple years ago, there were three confirmed terrorist training camps in Houston, I can not help but wonder if this is related to terrorism.
