Lesson 4: How to Use "Natural Release" in an Instant Pot
There are three ways to release pressure in the pressure cooker. In this video, I teach you all about how “natural release” works – the easiest one by far.
OMG I was over here actually having a panic attack wondering how to get my food out 😬 I thought my release button had a defect!
Thank you loads. Much appreciated.
I made my first recipe in the instant pot today and have to say, I was a little nervous. I did the quick release, but next time I think I am going to just do the natural release. The homemade chicken noodle soup is flavourful. Thanks for the tutorial.
Did I miss the part where you went over how to actually “set” the natural release?
Thank you that was informative
Help me please!! I am using an instant pot aura which is actually a multi pot and it doesn’t have a setting or a valve at the rio for natural release or fast release and the rice I am making calls for it. The multi pot has a rice program but my lid is glass. Is that normal and how do I do natural release? Thank you
Video could of been 3 seconds long and I'd fully understand what natural release was….
Thanks for explaining it a way that I could understand jejejeje
Found it. You’re an excellent teacher
Excellent video. I think I actually understood it. I’m trying to find your iTunes site..could you send it to me. Thanks
First one dry
Just made my second whole chicken 🍗 the one was so dry and bad my dog wouldn’t eat it. 🐶🐶🐶
Jesus, I feel like I need an engineering degree to use this thing. I've never had an anxiety attack cooking a brisket until today. THIS IS TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!
How do I know how long it will take before i open the lid? I'm not using a recipe for small bbq chicken breasts. Thanks!
Thank you much appreciated, it’s good to back up what I’m already thinking 🤔
Wow thank you for such a clear easy to understand lesson! Much appreciated
Thanks !!
So how long does it take?
The recipe with the cooker doesn't say and based on this video the number just keeps going up endlessly
You rock! I did the initial water test on first using my Ultra. I was scared so I hid in the living room lol. After it beeped, and the timer started going up, I freaked and pressed the quick release – yes, I jumped back 4 feet. I knew natural release was to "do nothing." But, nowhere did it explain that the timer would go UP telling me how much time it was releasing NOR did I know that different recipes require a different amount of time for natural release. Nice job. I'm less scared of it now.
Thank you for this tutorial! I've been using my instant pot for a while and agree, that quick release is a little scary until you get used to it! The timer makes this process even easier!
Thank you!!
Just bought this but if I have to wait 30 minutes to release and 10 minutes to cook I don't really save that much time. Just as easy to leave in a slow cooker, no?
