We are LONG overdue here at CineFix for a deep dive into documentaries. Having barely scratched the surface of the genre over the years, it’s time we take a …

Hoop Dreams is a classic.
Top pro-Je***sh documentaries 🙂
Whahhhhh…..no Black Fish???!!!
There is a persistently illogical character to all of Cinefix's lists, or all of them that I have seen. This list is a good example (although all his lists are good examples.) Each place on the list is given to a genre, not a specific movie. The list is purportedly "The top 10 documentaries of all time", but number ten is a list of a bunch of historical documentaries, followed by his favorite one, as if the best historical documentary belongs at #10; number 6 is sport documentaries, with another list and another favorite, as if the best sports documentary belongs at #6. What if eight of the ten best docs were historical? Why should a historical doc be eliminated from any place on this list just because there is a better historical doc? If "Shoah" had never been made, would the tenth best doc of all time be "Cave of Forgotten Dreams"? Just think how stupid that is. I wish you would concern yourself less with throwing around the names of all the movies you have seen, and start thinking about the nonsense at the core of your list-building. It's annoying.
For me, it has been Nostalgia for the Light.
Musical biography should belong to Searching For Sugar Man
Sans Soleil should be 1º. Nothing like it, nothing as real, complex and profound.
Empire of Dreams The Making of Star Wars, that's an really brilliant documentary.
These picks all suck
How about documentaries on nature science, health and environment? Did you just make this list in your sleep?
top 10 is subjective.
#8 was grey gardens, may want to edit in the description…
''Zeitgeist addendum'' is the best one for ALL people to wake up! But they keep deleting it on different channels and somebody always uploads it again.
"HYPE!" My fav Documentary of alltime. About Northwestern Rock revolution that occurred in 80s-mid 90s.
Very strange choices. Number 10 seems very important where number 1 seems very frivolous. Strange order. These are all based on human emotions or tragedy. How about human accomplishments, and discoveries. No science at all.
I watched that "fantasy" you recommended… 'Shoah'.
…horrifying.
No Thin Blue Line. GTFO
the Act of Killingnot even a mention… bad
Baraka… wow
Love the list and always come watch these top 10 lists but how did Sir David Attenborough not get a mention 😮😮
nice research. you mention titles that are not even on IMDb.
Alot of these look boring af.
I can't believe you picked Stop Making Sense. You guys…. are the freaking best!
what is the documentary on the picture?
I take it the list is nothing more than his person opinion I see why the many down thumbs
Werner Herzog's – Land of silence and darkness Herzog always shows how much humans WANT to Express themselves, but cant, or dont know how, or fear to do so. All of his work speaks to the human spirit…
