  1. Do you see more than just a metaphorical and terminological link between the war on terror and the war on drugs?  Casus belli, justification for a war, carries the requirement to say what the war is about, how victory will be identified, etc.  Both my examples seem more symptomatic of psychotic lashing out.  Holmes says early English law seemed to have had as one of its goals the punishing of inanimate objects.  We seem to believe that if we drop a few bombs, attend a few funerals, make a few bombastic speeches, it will soothe the universe, or, I should rather say, make the universe go away.  I wonder if the need to stop invading other countries and the need to stop making war on large parts of our own population are related not just thematically but essentially: in embracing the need to "de-escalate" enough to figure out what we're trying to do.  Do we still turn neighborhoods over to gangbangers like in a Robert Crais novel?  Is one fifth of African-American manhood in jail?  These seem to parallel our strategy for war-fighting, and the key term is racism, but that term raises the real question: how do we identify the enemy?   It seems we are acting out in some very traditional American way.

  2. YES thank you for this! Why is this information not being told to the American people at large? Because the government has an interest in keeping the fear of people going to prison in the heart of Americans. Because they know that their forced way of dealing with drugs doesnt help the people but actually helps the prison system!

  3. Drug Wars is an amazing and important book… a must read! This issue is one of the burning issues of our times; and it crosses over into so many other related issues, but seemingly unrelated to many, that there's no going back after you've seen the light of the facts and evidence. Great video!

  4. Wars?
Lets be honest you Americans aren't interested to end with drugs just wanna own that business monopolies it! Just kill drug producers like evo morales, you let him like other countries deal with drug serving frim their money incomes, dont pretend you are nice guy, evil governs you and not is your clown Trump

  5. Thank you! Too many good people that made very bad mistakes are living out their lives in prison. I've seen some of the smartest and warmhearted friends die in this war. Suicide took them all. We need to help these people and take the biggest weapon these thugs have away! Legalize it all and help the sick. This model has worked in the past and is currently working in select countries right now. God I hope we wake up soon!
