Learning websites range from free learning websites and homeschooling websites where you can access free audio, video, books, magazines and all kinds of content, to video websites where you can watch video clips on TV and listen to podcasts in their native language. Since the internet has become so popular for learning languages and, if you are studying for a language exam, learning a language via video content on the internet is very easy and extremely effective. It is, of course, important to remember that you are practising and learning your language in a relaxed environment, not in a classroom.
i had the good fortune of being a part of the lts program in the summer of 2018. i am grateful for all that i experienced with the program and it was definitely a key experience for me. i can truly say that the language program was one of the best experiences of my life. it was a phenomenal opportunity that i took advantage of. the faculty members really did a great job of creating a comfortable learning atmosphere and i think that they also had a lot of valuable things to say about teaching in general. the fact that they were able to relate everything to teaching in the classroom was really helpful. i remember the day that we went to the korean bookstore and they took me to the counter and asked for something in korean. i was really taken aback by the fact that they were able to do that with no problem. there were also plenty of opportunities to practice in the classroom and in the practice room. i never really had the opportunity to do so much practice, but they always had time to do so in class or at practice. at the same time, there were also a lot of opportunities to teach and practice teaching, which was really helpful. if i could go back and do it all over again, i would have spent more time in the classroom and less time at the practice room. i know that there are many great teachers out there, but i would really love to have the opportunity to be part of a language program like this. i would love to be able to go back and see all of the hard work that we did and i know that it was definitely worth it.
my name is jihye shin and i am a b2 level teacher from korea. i came to the uo with my husband, jinsang shin, whom i am teaching at the same level. before coming here, i took japanese for three years at my university in korea. i taught children in elementary and middle school while studying the language. i am now working at the uo as a ge, and i am excited to find a partner in jinsang. i have been teaching at the uo for about three months, and i have been working hard with the asian students’ association to create a korean program.
