In this video, I’m talking about some of the important vitamins men need as we age. I’m not a vitamin expert, so please talk to your doctor for vitamin needs …

  1. I've found that taking a heaping helping of cocaine every 15 minutes (or sooner) has dramatically increased my energy, decreased my appetite and completely eliminated my reluctance to be chatty.

  2. I enjoyed your video. I recently been taking probiotics and something I'd recommend. It's now part of my daily supplements. Keep up the great work.

  3. I scoffed at supplements other than a basic Centrum. My daughter got me to try her DoTerra supplements with many of the ones you recommended. I’ve noticed changes in nails (clearer, growing faster), hair (thicker), and stamina. So, I guess there is something to it!

  4. One of the most important things to take is saw palmetto, zinc and pumpkin extract. If are trying to get nutrition in tablet form the best way is not with synthetic vitamins but plants which contain vitamins.

  5. B12 deficiency discovered …just before turning 47…how? Vertigo, weird stress headaches and tingly toes and hands….went to doc. measured my levels, declared I needed shots …they were so low. Did that for about a month and the vertigo and tingling went away.

If you feel similar symptoms go to the doc and ask about possible B12 deficiency and insist on blood work to determine what's going on for sure.

Chronic B12 can cause the mentioned symptoms but can also lead to permanent neurological damage…don't delay!

  6. Turmeric is excellent. But consider B12 and Omega 3. Turmeric helps fight cancer cells from establishing themselves in your body and B12 and Omega 3 help your nerves. I have numbness in my left leg. It literally showed up overnight and it isn't going away. The doc said it was a B12 and Omega 3 deficiency. Doc told me the best way to get those was not through vitamins but getting them naturally through food. So, I have to eat fish, seafood at least 3X a week now. Funny thing, I was already taking a B12 supplement and Centrum Silver but it was not enough. I hate it when you think you are doing everything right and you are still wrong. Also, try yoga. I have done it for 2 years now and feel great. It's a low impact exercise that uses your body as resistance. No gym membership required, you don't have to leave the house and there are a million yoga videos on YT to follow.

  7. Gentlemen who are over 50 may benefit from 2 supplements that are know for prostate health. One is Beta-Sitosterol and the other is Saw Palmetto. They have helped me a good deal since I started using them.

  8. Another vital vitamin within the B complex is Folic Acid, with a daily requirement of 400mcg.Yes whilst absorbed from your daily diet,if green and healthy, supplementation is not a bad idea as you get older. The Vitamin D deficiency id primarily due to lack of sunlight, not just on your arms and legs but particularly on your tummy ,absorption of Vitamin D via this route seems from medical evidence the most beneficial.

  9. A cinnamon supplement is supposed to help to promote healthy blood sugar. I can't speak for everyone but my blood glucose went from 108 to 90 after taking it for a year. I also use turmeric as an anti inflammatory . Can't go wrong with a table spoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water daily either.

  10. I’m a new subscriber and really enjoying your channel. I also want to add that I’m taking Ginkgo Biloba which is supposed to add blood flow and memory. I can certainly vouch for my memory having improved. It was getting pretty bad.
Anyway keep up the good work

  11. Can you do a winter dressing video? I don’t mean like a chilly winter, light jacket, t-shirt. I mean like Canada -12 weather but I still want to look good and not die. Thanks.

  12. Snake oil. I don't trust or believe what they put into vitamins nor any of their claims. For good nutrition eat a variety of foods. No offense to anyone taking supplements. If you feel they are doing good for you, more power to you.

  13. Glucosamine chondroitin or glucosamine MSM is a great supplement for arthritis. I had pain in my right shoulder to the extent that I couldn’t lift my arm above my head. I was told by my doctor I had two options. I could get a cortisone shot which is immediate but only lasts for 6 months. This treatment had a limited number of times it could be repeated. Or I could go the glucosamine route. It took approximately 3 months to take effect, but I have been pain free for more than 15 years.

  14. Men, in addition I have been taking Biotin for years. Biotin helps with healthy nails and prevents hair loss. My Father and Grandfathers on both sides were bald as badgers. I am nearly 50 and have good solid hair and healthy looking nails. I was actually put on to it by a vet specialising in Olympic Equestrian. She told me they add biotin to horse feed to strengthen hoofs and make the horses coats nice and shiny. I was starting to get thin in my 20's. I am a fan and I believe it works.

  15. Great vlog, John. FYI; Calcium, Zinc and Magnesium need each other to be effective. They can be purchased as a combo (I use Nature Made) which is generally cheaper and more efficient (1 bottle VS 3 and no chance of having more of one than the other). Also great seeing the many suggestions of adding Tumeric, but Tumeric is ineffective without the addition of black pepper. Black pepper also helps the conversion of protein so add it and Tumeric to your eggs. Also, Vitamin C is great for your testosterone.

  16. A few notes:
There aren’t any conclusive studies about the effectiveness of horny goat weed, so I wouldn’t recommend that. Magnesium works well in conjunction with potassium, and is effective for muscle relaxation and sleep. Vitamin B12 can’t be effective without the rest of his buddies, so if you’re gonna take one B vitamin you have to take All of them to maximize its potency. As for zinc, if you’re already eating regular daily servings of meat, eggs and seafood, then you don’t need to take the pill form.
Otherwise, thank you for the info and reminder, have a great day!

  17. Vitamin K2 has been shown to direct calcium to your bones and teeth where it is needed, but away from soft tissues like arteries, kidneys, and joints where it can cause problems.
