  1. Y'all… 😂 I didn't have a chance to look at comments the day I uploaded this vlog. Imagine my surprise, waking up this morning to so many interesting discussions. (Particularly the argument about judging the USA 😅.) I really appreciate how concerned y'all are for my safety. I am even more appreciative for those who related thier concern in a polite manner. 💙 Sometimes we forget how to speak nicely when we are on the internet. There probably isn't a perfect solution for the seatbelt, but this is the best option for me. When I am driving it still rests on my shoulder, but directly under my port rather than on top of it. It's better than forfeiting the diagonal strap all together! ☝️ I will make a more conscious effort to keep the adjuster positioned in a way so that the seatbelt is on my shoulder, but just below my port. I shared what works for me in the hope that it may be useful to others, but in no way am I pressuring people to follow my exact choices. 🚫 If I made a video stating I was stopping all medications/treatments without a doctors support, I'm not culpable if someone does the same because I am not responsible for the actions of others. 🤷‍♀️ My channel is about sharing my life, spreading awareness and connecting to others. It's not about providing a model of what YOUR life should look like, because we are all different. Take the info from my videos for what it is, and make choices for yourself based on what YOU believe is best. 💕 Much love to you all!

  2. My mom flips the chest strap behind her, because she is ventilator dependant and the strap pushed on her hose and her trach
She's been pulled over for it, but the cops always dismiss her when they see her hose.

  3. I’m glad to see you doing well after starting CBD. My pain is going bunkers. Hoping to start using some too. What is the one you are on? Exited to see you guys move into the new home. Hope to see the blog soon🎈📫🌷

  4. Thank you for sharing, Jaquie. I definitely need to get one of those. And before someone tells me how you think it's dangerous…Stop Typing. Having an accident and it causing my larynx to be crushed or cutting my throat and bleeding out is even more dangerous.

At 5'7" I'm not short, but the seat belt slides up until it is on my neck and my skin is extra sensitive and prone to damage due to psoriasis and 2 other autoimmune diseases. It gets so bad I keep pulling at it and it is a dangerous distraction while driving.

Love to you, Jaquie, Judd and Harlow and I'm so excited for you watching your new house being built!!! Thanks for being so inspiring. My health issues are different but still suffer with chronic pain 24/7/365. Your attitude has helped me in dealing with my own health. God bless you!
    💙💚❤💛🧡💜 🐱🐾🐾

  5. Jaquie I use the seatbelt strap cushion, the first one you showed. You shared it on another video. I can't drive because special needs but I use it because the seatbelt in the passenger seat hits my port. It's been great! Thank you for making all these videos. I look forward to each one!

  6. How does MMJ or does MMJ make it difficult to drive? With narcotics or any medications it can @ times impair your driving abilities. I shouldn't be typing right now I'm a little impaired.? Is that how it's spelled? Impared? It's impaired right?✌

  7. Thanks Jacquie! I forwarded this to Mary of "The Frey Life" who's also a daily Vloggers with C.F., a feeding tube and a port and she's tiny like you! So thanks for spreading the word about this product….wish I knew about it when I had my port! Lol's. Although I know the pain you're in and it's the one thing us "Lymies" hate to hear but…….you still look as beautiful as ever. Does the humidity affect your pain levels or the almost daily drop in barometric pressure from afternoon rain storms in Florida? I'm looking to get out of the Antarctic of the East Coast, northern Maine and my body didnt do well in humidity before my diagnosis so i was just wondering. Does a/c help if it does bother you? Thanks. Love and Blessings, Grannie Annie from Maine

  8. I think its great Jacquie that you found something that works for you. I have MCTD, it's a rare auto-immune that has components of Scleroderma, polyomyocitis and lupus. I'm also only 4'8" tall and have had my neck cut by a seatbelt. People with chronic illness have to make choices everyday about their health and safety and do the best they can. The best she can do is wear her seatbelt the way she wears it. Everytime someone puts food in their mouth their is a risk of choking, should you be told not to eat. Shes doing the best that she can to be as safe as she can.

  9. What a fantastic idea and thanks so much for showing us this. I have been putting the seatbelt on but taking the strap and putting it behind my back so all I had was my lap restrainted. I am definitely going to look for this item because my power port is so sensitive. Much love and many blessings.😊🐶💓✌️🙏

  10. Oh my gosh, this is awesome! I’m short AND have a pacemaker, and the seat belt really hurts my chest because it presses on the tissue around the pacemaker.

I’ll have to do some research into how safe these are to use, but to be honest, I don’t feel safe with the seatbelt right over my pacemaker either. If I was in an accident, I feel like my heart / chest could be seriously injured by the seatbelt yanking on my pacemaker.

  11. You might as well just not be wearing a seatbelt with that device I understand how it can rub on your port and be uncomfortable but having the seatbelt down like that is not safe, if you get in an accident you will go all the way forward and get hurt because you have no protection to your upper chest. Not trying to sound rude though, just looking at for you. I hope you can find a solution that still keeps you safe 😊

  12. Thank you for this video. I have never seen this seatbelt adjuster in Canada. I am a short person and the seatbelt cuts me right in the neck. Thank you For the links on Amazon, and I have ordered both the protector and the adjuster. I watch all your videos. You’re very brave woman. I hope you find your house soon.

  13. hey Jaquie i'm a high school student dealing with non life threatening but extremely debilitating chronic illnesses, and i'm in a school that acts like my many diagnosed illnesses are just fake, over exaggerated, and or cased by anxiety (with I have but they don't take that seriously either) and I was just wondering how you made it throw high school. do you think you could make a video about your experience, because I feel like it would help me feel less alone in my fight against for pain relief.

  14. Echoing what everyone else said. Those devices are not safe when used this way. It means if you get in an accident, it won't stop your upper body from flying forward. It'll basically just cut into your arm. Please stick with the guard like you have on the passenger side.

  15. Hi! I have been searching through social media trying to find a way to contact you, but have failed. I am looking for places to get a service dog. I have POTS, EDS and have severe hypermobility. I have mobility issues and have just started high school.I was wondering if you could answer some questions. Please get back to me if you can! Also, I hope that your flare up has cleared up! Love you, Hippo, and Judd. It's been inspiring to watch you guys!

  16. Hi Jaquie! This is off-topic, but…I have to say that you and Judd are so mature. I almost said. "for your age" 🙂 You are articulate and full of information. Your house is so damned clean! And the fact that you two are buying a house at your age is so impressive! You two "adult" very well. 🙂

  17. Altering the way the seatbelt sits on your body is dangerous! They're designed to push against certain parts of your body to keep you safe in an accident. Using that thing is going to make you get more hurt if you're involved in a crash.
