Thought this was more marketing BS. On a small scale using ethanol for a very fast soak perhaps 30 seconds will extract a fair amount of cannabinoid and very little chlorophyll .
YOU are what a real chemist frequently refers to as a "meth-lab" chemist. Real chemists don't do the shit you do, and there is a good reason for that. A real chemist will extract Cannabis in a soxylet in a continuous liquid extractor using hexane (usually 90:10 or 80:20 hexane: ethylacetate, and than use a Roto-vac to evaporate the solvent. But for oral adminstration a simple solid-liquid extraction using canola oil and low speed centrifuges capable of 4000 rpm (and capable of holding a 50cc sintillation vial/extraction tube) can get your production cost down to under 5 cents/ mg THC using water displacement centrifuge technique that gives a 92% recovery. That 5 cents is based upon Cannabis at $320/oz.
No wonder the cost of edibles has gone up so much. I started out on Medical MJ, and then when it became legal my cost went up almost 100% because everyone wanted to extract their pound of flesh. Your business is a prime example because the engineering of those systems you've shown us sitting in your warehouse are extremely expensive, so every grower and/or manufacturer of edibles must absorb some of the cost up front but, we on the retail end of the supply chain are being killed financially. I had to start growing my own. In our state of Ca. we can grow up to six plants, and now with my NugSmasher I will be making my own edibles.

What a load of BS. And the fact that you work for a company selling ethanol extraction equipment would have nothing to do with you saying all those dirty lies about CO2. Have you considered that GW pharma make their CBD pure drug Epidiolex using CO2 extraction, and that running costs of SFE can be brought down as low as $2/kg of feed? Your technology will never take off my friend, because the capital costs involved in the building, running and maintanance of large volumes of a highly flammable liquid will not be economically viable in most countries.

It's rare for a person to have the scientific knowledge and ability that Mr. Tennant has and to also possess the ability to simplify the explanation so that the non-scientist can understand and learn. I was looking for exactly what was presented – what the difference is between CO2 and solvent extraction — and is CO2 safer. Safer meaning many companies market their CBD saying that CO2 is the safest and all processes with solvents are unsafe because of residuals that are then contained in the final product. Thank you for such an informative presentation and for addressing some of the myths that have been generated in the field.

Hemp InDro and also waiting to be fully approved for recreational indoor production utilizing greenhouse environment. I plan to set up a facility to process our plant materials as well as any other farm I have ability to help. We will be doing hydroponic craft outdoor production as well as craft hydroponic indoor production.
