Catfood NoSleep is a simple command line tool that prevents your computer from entering sleep while running a script. It can be used to run scripts that are lengthy to run for example during installation and set up of a new game.
One of the requirements for use with NoSleep is that your computer needs to be in “real-time” mode, this allows the application or script to be run in non-modified mode and prevents other tasks from being put on hold.
This tool is a command line tool that works by allowing you to run a batch file that is not interactive but is instead run in “real-time”.
When you try and close the opened command window it will give the warning message that it is still running. Closing the window is not needed to stop the session.
Your computer should not sleep while running a script. The only way to stop your computer from sleeping is to ensure your hardware has been set to “do not sleep”.

The command line tool is executed with the command
“NoSleep.exe”, for example for users on the command prompt, after creating an empty file.
To use a game or application installer as the sole reason for why the computer won’t sleep (catfood doesn’t install anything) simply call the command like:
“catfood nosleep -launch Installer.exe”,
And just press Enter to install everything.
By default there are two helper batch files that come with the tool.
The file that launches on startup `catfood.exe’`
and the file that does nothing and simply exists `noshleep.bat’`.
If you wish to delete these files call `catfood nosleep -delete’`,
pressing Enter will delete them.
If you wish to delete these files before using the catfood tool call `catfood nosleep -uninstall`, this will delete the files before calling NoSleep.exe.
